About Us
The International Institute was established in 2017 with generous funding from the Chancellor to coordinate and support scholarship and teaching on international issues at UC San Diego. We are creating a vibrant international and multidisciplinary intellectual community through Internationalization, Engagement, and Collaboration.
Otherwise Film Festival
The UC San Diego International Institute, is an official sponsor of the Otherwise Film Festival on UC San Diego campus who curates film programs from local and international artists.
By foregrounding marginalized voices and their unique cinematic narratives, OTHERWISE redefines the boundaries of representation in contemporary cinema. This festival serves as a crucible of cultural exploration, where the complexities of our modern world are unraveled through the lenses of specific creators and communities.
